Does that mean shifts are easier to fill here?
Easier to fill locally, not easier full stop. A city with a hospital and campuses also has plenty of employers competing for the same people, so supply and competition both run higher than in the towns east of here. The practices that do well are the ones that post early and read like a place somebody would want to spend a Thursday.
Is the train useful for getting staff to Oshawa?
Yes, and it is worth knowing exactly where the station is. Oshawa sits at the end of the all-day service along the lakeshore, so somebody without a car can genuinely reach the city. The station is well to the west of downtown rather than in it, so if your practice is central you should say what the last leg looks like rather than leave somebody to discover it.
How far east do your professionals travel from Oshawa?
Further than you would expect, because Oshawa practices already serve a catchment wider than the city. Professionals based here regularly cover Clarington and the eastern townships, which are much harder to fill from anywhere else in the region.
